Join families, community members and blood cancer patients from across the state for Children’s Leukemia Foundation of Michigan’s first ever *virtual* walk.
What is a virtual walk? A virtual walk is an opportunity for you to walk in honor of friends, family, and blood cancer patients across the state of Michigan – but in your own neighborhood and on your own terms. You set the length, the route, and the time that are most convenient for you. Bring a dog, a family member, or a friend – at a safe distance, of course.
How Do You Participate? Participating in our virtual walk is easy! The registration fee is $25 and includes a free t-shirt*. You simply register here – either individually or as part of a larger team – and set fundraising goals. We have some great prizes when you reach different fundraising levels. On the day of the event, make sure to put on your BCF Walk Around the Block t-shirt and enjoy your walk through your neighborhood. Don’t forget to take photos and videos and share them with friends. Tag us @leukemiamichigan.org #walkaroundtheblock.
BCF patients are able to attend this event FREE!
What If You Can’t Walk on June 6th? That’s okay! Just get out and walk any time between June 6th and June 20th. We will be sharing updates on social media for two weeks after the event date so you have plenty of time to take part in the virtual walk. You can even walk on multiple days during this time frame. We’d love to see your updates during this time.
Why Should You Walk? Blood cancer patients are among the most vulnerable during the COVID-19 pandemic. BCF is committed to meeting their urgent emotional, social and financial needs during this uncertain time – and beyond. Funds raised will help ensure this support is available to the 3,200 patients and families BCF serves each year.
