The Blood Cancer Foundation of Michigan (BCFM) does not solicit by phone. During our more than 66-year history, BCFM has never solicited by phone, and we have no plans to do so in the future.

All funds raised by BCFM stay in Michigan and provide assistance directly to the more than 3,700 patients and families that we serve. Through education, emotional support, and financial assistance, BCFM provides a compassionate and helping hand to families at a time in their lives when they are perhaps the most vulnerable. We take pride in our services and take steps to ensure that donations are used in accordance with donor intent. We are careful to ensure that everyone—patients, families, supporters and constituents—are treated with the high level of respect that they deserve.

Transparency and financial responsibility matter to us and we want to ensure that your generous gift is used in the way that you intend.  We watch our expenses carefully.  Nearly 80% of every dollar raised by The Blood Cancer Foundation of Michigan goes directly to patient programming; our overhead costs are just 21%.

Our audited financial statements are available on our web site, as well as on charity watch dog sites such as Charity Navigator and Guidestar.  The Blood Cancer Foundation of Michigan is proud to have a four-star rating with Charity Navigator.  It’s our pledge to you that we will use your funds wisely in the care of those families that you intend to help.

If you have received telephone calls asking you for a donation and would like to register a complaint, please contact the Michigan Attorney General at:
