Angela Lepper always wanted a career helping others and found a perfect fit with the mission of the The Blood Cancer Foundation of Michigan.
“I knew a couple of people in the past few years who lost children to cancer,” Angela said. “I feel passionately about doing something to help ease the burden on these families who are going through this journey they did not ask to traverse.”
As a Patient Support Specialist at BCFM since September 2018, Angela helps patients and families cope and maintain their quality of life as they fight blood cancer by providing disease education, emotional support, financial assistance, events and recreational activities.
Prior to joining BCFM, she worked at Catholic Charities for three years as a case manager for homeless families that were recently housed.
Angela earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Michigan-Dearborn and her Master of Social Work from Wayne State University.
She has been married for 23 years to her husband and has three teenagers who keep her busy. When she finds any spare time, Angela loves to read mysteries and suspense novels and hopes to visit Alaska and Hawaii someday.
